30k Minnimum wage: Federal Government sets date for inauguration of implementation committee.

The federal government is set to inaugurate an implementation committee for the N30,000 minimum wage.

Dr Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment said that the Federal Government will on Tuesday, May 14, in Abuja (FCT) inaugurate the N30,000 new nationwide minimum wage implementation committee, the minister said this while fielding question on Television concerning the time for payment of the new wage.

Ngige still said arears will be paid anytime implementation of the new wage began.

Still on the implementation, He hinted that there were still processes and procedures the new minimum wage will undergo before its commencement of implementation despite being signed into law.

These are all happening on the wake of the current on-going nationwide protest of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), that even went further to barricade the house of the minister of labour and employment, Dr Chris Ngige.
